15th April 2021: New Aikido Class for Children age 7 to 12 years.

Updated: Apr 25, 2021

As the 3rd lockdown is being gradually lifted, we are back to business again with Kids Aikido Class (15th April 2021) and Aikido for All (20th May 2021). Inori Dojo offers FREE trial sessions. Newcomers, age 7+, are more than welcome to join in! You don’t need any experience of martial arts to start, nor need to be physically fit. That’s what we’re here to help with. Most importantly, we will do this together safely by complying with the government's guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19 (social distancing, wearing face masks, hands cleaning, no contact with partner etc.) These regulations are subject to immediate change in the coming weeks and months.

Join us and change your life for the better, physically, mentally, and spiritually. In our Aikido classes everyone is encouraged to train to the best of their ability. We are also happy to try to cater for any disorders like ASD and ADHD as well as any disabilities.

ABOUT KIDS AIKIDO Kids Aikido classes are all about creating a warm, safe and creative place in which Aikido can be made accessible and fun for children. Aikido is a relatively new martial art but full of great benefits for children, a great accompaniment to learning, especially now that schools have re-opened in England!

Practicing Aikido on regular basis will help children in gaining self-confidence and self-respect, developing concentration and focus, releasing stress, becoming more flexible, developing emotional intelligence and resilience, being more calm, happy and grounded.

Top 10 benefits of Kids Aikido:

1. Improves flexibility and strengthens the body 2. Improves concentration, cooperation and coordination 3. Increases self-esteem 4. Gives tools for stress management 5. Helps imagination and creativity 6. Improves social interaction

7. Enhances body and space awareness 8. Teaches responsibility and discipline 9. Teaches children to enjoy the present moment 10. Improves the quality of children’s life

We comply with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19:

-No more than 15 children will be permitted into the hall at any one time. -No adults (with exception of the instructor / Sensei) will be allowed to accompany the children into the hall unless under special circumstances such as children who are dependent on a parent/guardian (e.g. Disabled and extremely young children) or injury has occurred.

The deadline for enrolment is 12 noon on 31st March 2021.

If you have never tried Aikido, this is a dynamic Japanese Martial Art suitable for children, men and women of any age, size and build. The art focuses on using the attackers’ movement against them and include a combination of empty-handed techniques, along with weapons including sword, staff and knife, all practiced in a safe and friendly environment.

Inori Aikido classes are led by Adrian Munteanu sensei, 4th dan Aikido. Adrian is Coach Level 1 & 2 qualified, DBS checked and first aid qualified. In addition, Adrian is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
