This is when Inori dojo opens its doors so you can visit and experience Aikido, a Japanese traditional martial art, first-hand. We are there to help you make decisions on what you would like to learn and practise.
Inori Open Day shows you what is on offer and can tell you more about Aikido than you’ll gather from a leaflet or from the internet.
You have the chance to see how to use your body movement in a centred and balanced way, re-adjusting to a straight and healthy posture and adopting a positive attitude. You can talk to our students about breathing correctly and how to relax, and practise together how to fall safely to avoid serious injuries in daily life. You can discover some basic self-defence bare hand techniques as well as how to use the sword and staff as extensions of your body.
The open day provides the chance to children, young people, adults and older adults, women and men, to getting together to exercise not just the body, but mind and spirit too. Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that will grow with you as you get older. Come and give it a try! It’s for FREE and no need to book in advance! Just turn up on Thursday 27th October (half-term) between 7pm and 9pm at Woolpit Village Hall. No dress code, wear whatever you want as long as you feel comfortable.
